Home Buyer Education Instructors.
The Fifth Ward CRC Home Buyers Education Course, a HUD Certified Housing Counseling Agency, is equipping today's home buyers with the tools they need to confidently and competently handle the home buying process, while avoiding costly mistakes. The objective of this 8 hour course is to help answer the many questions you have regarding the home buying process, and to determine if you qualify for one of several down payment assistance programs. Course content includes preparing for homeownership, obtaining a mortgage, closing and escrow, and life as a homeowner.
The cost of the Home Buyer Education Course is $30.00 (non-refundable) per family and both parties must attend. The general qualifications for the down payment assistance are based on federal income guidelines, mortgage qualification, and stable income. A continental breakfast and lunch is also provided.
